Evocha

Evocha is a British fashion brand working with the finest manufacturers to create simple, elegant essentials of the highest quality, and sold on-line only for significantly less than current market prices.

We letterpress printed swing tags for Evocha in a sleek grey ink onto Colorplan 540gsm Pristine White by GF Smith. The result is labelling conveying the high quality of product and service with which Evocha is associated.

International Property

The International Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement in all sectors of the property and real estate industry and is a world-renowned mark of excellence.
This standard of quality is reflected in the company's business card.
We letterpress printed the crest and text in black ink and applied a blind deboss thereafter.
The stock is Saunders Waterford, 425gsm; a traditionally made watercolour paper.
It's lovely to work with and gives very pleasing results, allowing a deeply defined impression. Oftentimes specified for wedding stationery, Saunders Waterford, as can be seen, also turns out a very fine business card.

Pedestrian Verse

Frightened Rabbit released their album Pedestrian Verse this week and we've been loving the music as well as admiring our own handiwork on the cover.
Scott visited our printworks last year to have a chat about foiling the design onto a casebound book. We carried out the work and sent it off, preserving the foil to use as a Christmas decoration. Pictured above is the mag die and foil skeleton.
Pictured below is our own "That's Impressive" featuring lyrics from FR's "Winter of Mixed Drinks".
Scott kindly signed a copy - and it can be yours. To win you have to:
1. Follow us on twitter 2. Retweet the link 3. Like us on FB 4. Write to us hellbox@glasgowpress.com and tell us what your favourite mixed drink is this winter.
A lot to ask, but it's a good prize, eh? Comp closes Monday 11th Feb at 3pm

Studio Norse

A smart business card for Creative Consultants, Studio Norse. The stock is used to great effect, with three boards of GF Smith Colorplan 350gsm fused together to make a whacking Triplex 1080gsm. At this weight, the middle Bright Red makes a striking slash between the dense Ebony and crisp Pristine White. We applied a glossy black foil to the black side and letterpress printed black ink to the reverse.
Thank you to Matt Pickett for the fine photography.

The Question Mark

The artist, George Wyllie, was best known for his Straw Locomotive and Paper Boat social sculptures. He famously described himself as a 'scul?tor' because he claimed that the question mark was too important to be left to the end.
A George Wyllie Retrospective is currently being held at The Mitchell Library, Glasgow until 2nd February.
We letterpress printed this invitation, designed by Pete Rossi, in black ink on a rather hefty Dutch Greyboard of 2250micron.

Gavinburn Cottages

Significant snowfall overnight turns the mind to thoughts of a holiday and Gavinburn Cottages seems an ideal location, in winter or summer.
The business card is designed by Ramsay Macfarlane. Stock is the fabulously fibrous Colorplan from GF Smith. 540gsm weight and above allows for a fine impression to both sides. We letterpress printed a rich black ink and enhanced the card with gleaming gold foil.

Perfect Packaging for Print

We've had a colourful time recently, printing and diecutting our own business card boxes from every single one of the 50 colours available in the GF Smith Colorplan range. The sheets, trimmed and stacked are ready to letterpress print in a gold ink. Images are taken from the natural world and include hands whittling wood, a bee, a flea, and shells from the sea. Thereafter, the sheets are diecut and assembled to make a charming little protective box for the amazing business cards the world's great designers ask us to print.
